Sam will be joining an amazing group of artists as a songwriting coach for the New Song Fest 2024 put on by the good folks at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, CA. They believe that songwriters are at the heart of our arts community and it is gatherings like this where we begin to grow the next season of songwriters. New Songs is a songwriting festival featuring four days of workshops, three evening concerts, multiple breakout and coaching sessions, practice space, and a professional production on stage in front of a public audience. The fest runs the weekend of April 25 - 28th, 2024 and Sam will be coaching on Sunday, April 28th. Join in by registering now, HERE.

Our new album, All is Song, which will be released on April 12th is at the center of this celebration and we’re very pleased to be staging this party at our favorite acoustic concert hall, the historic Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, CA. Mark your calendars folks and bring your friends out to the show. We’ll be playing this new music with two of the amazing musicians from the album, Co-producer, and multi-instrumentalist Bruce Kaphan (American Music Club, David Byrne, The Black Crowes) will be featured on pedal steel guitar, keyboards, and electric guitar. Oakland-based drummer and multi-instrumentalist Dillon Vado will be featured on drums. We want all of you to be with us for this amazing night!

And we’re so pleased to be sharing the bill with Noaa Rienecker, who will also be playing his beautiful original music with Dillon Vado and Bruce Kaphan, making this our first time sharing the bill and our band with another singer songwriter, it should be very exciting. Noaa will be performing some of the music off of his new record as well, he’s touring through Northern California before heading back to Austin, TX where he makes his home. And if that’s not enough the Santa Cruz based folk-jazz duo Winterlark opening the night as well! It’s a real honor to be sharing the stage with all of these people and we hope you’ll be there too.
